Smile

Smile, its cost nothing....
but creates much!
It has no earthly good until it is given away.
If someone is too weary to give you a smile, leave one of yours.
No one needs a smile so much as those who have none to share!

We are all sneezing. Spring is here.

The swallows and blue birds are squabbling over the low income rentals we put up in the yard for them. The bluebirds don't like other bluebirds in the neighborhood and swallow get feisty when they see another swallow getting too close to the front door. So it is the season of harsh cheeps, midair flapping and clawing as the 15 bird rentals we put out are fought over.Throw in a wren, titmouse or house finch and the interaviary relationships get really prickly. Why can they just get along?-like people.

I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding. John O'Donohue

Remember, Now is the only time you own. Love to all, Eric

What? no grenede launcher to quiet the starlings? Now is the time to ask for one, or maybe not. Might go against the neighborhood association rules and a few other "norms". As allways Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So it's spring - must be baseball season. Here's a poem to celebrate. When are you guys heading South of the Border???

Assignment #1: Write a poem about Baseball and God

And on the ninth day, God
In His infinite playfulness
Grass green grass, sky blue sky,
Separated the infield from the outfield,
Formed a skin of clay,
Assigned bases of safety
On cardinal points of the compass
Circling the mountain of deliverance,
Fashioned a wandering moon
From a horse, a string and a gum tree,
Tempered weapons of ash,
Made gloves from the golden skin of sacrificial bulls,
Set stars alight in the Milky Way,
Divided the descendants of Cain and Abel into contenders,
Declared time out, time in, stepped back,
And thundered over all of creation:
"Play ball!"

Oh, sorry. The quote "Positivity" is from Stevie Wonders album of the same title. A one song wonder in my book, but still a keeper. A good friend came over the other day to sight in his new Beeman .177 for starling and house wrens. (I use a .22 calaber Beeman)Comrades in arms. You are welcome to use the hay barn as a bullet stop any time. Love TE
