Thought for the day
May the sun share it's healing warmth with you,
the wind wrap it's soft caress around your limbs,
the moon bring quiet nights and lay rest to your concerns,
and the stars beam the healing grace of the Creator's universe
to sooth your soul. Anon. Eric

Eric, Your lovely blessing got me thinking about Francis of Assisi. Do you remember from your Catholic education his great "Canticle of the Creatures"? In case you need a refresher, here's a link to an English translation of the original Umbrian:

Eric, It find it very refreshing to read the blog each day. Don't stop keeping us up to date. We think about you always and miss your quircky smile! Stay well and positive, in your future battles.
Eric, I have missed your words of wisdom the past few days. You are in my prayers at all times( even in my sleepless nights in Medford. Our Ron is still in Iraq until mid November, so with you and him my prayers are continual. Hugs dear friend, Paulette
Perseverance gives power to weakness, and opens to poverty the world's wealth. It's spread fertility over the barren landscape, and bids the choicest fruits and flowers spring up and flourish in the desert abode of thorns and briers.

Eric,
I think of you often and find myself smiling! You are such an influence and a beautiful story to behold. The glance you've given us into your world has openend my eyes up to so many things I had not seen before! I know you have your good days and you have your bad days but I wan't you to always know that outside whatever kind of day it is, you've got blue skies all around you! I see the friends and family who care for you and it shows what kind of man you are! Thank you for everything! Your insight to the battle grounds of this war your fighting, your words of wisdom, strength, and humility, your sense of humor that keeps us laughing and young, your nurturing heart that has saved so many and your genuinality! You are uniquely defined and will always be! I will continue to pray for you and the family! Good luck and keep the updates coming! They are wonderful! God Bless!
Amanda :)
Eric,
I've thought of you a lot as I've been trudging through a Family Practice clerkship here in Sacramento. I've enjoyed the blog tremendously and appreciated being kept up to date. My mind often wanders to the magnificent recent Rogue trip and 2-manning those rafts with you down that creek! My thoughts are with you...Cale
